The ladies had a successful morning selling tickets, greeting shoppers, and talking with members of the community about the JLGC.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered and donated for the S.O.C.K.S. Clothing Drive on Saturday, October 29. The event was open to the public, the weather cooperated, and with great exposure at the Belmont Wal-Mart, we had great success! Many thanks to the Montcross Chamber for helping us spread the word to over 300 businesses.
Volunteers unloaded vehicles, greeted shoppers, and loaded the S.O.C.K.S. truck during the 4-hour service project. We had many shoppers deliver new items to the cause, and some gave monetary donations. We even had a lady deliver her deceased husband’s apparel, because S.O.C.K.S. was his favorite agency in need, and she knew his wishes would be fulfilled.
Overall, it was the largest S.O.C.K.S. clothing drive to date! We collected enough clothing to make a significant contribution for the local residents. Thank you JLGC!!!
