The Junior League of Gaston County
Women Building Better Communities

About Us

Who We Are:

The Junior League of Gaston County, or JLGC, is a diverse group of dedicated women working to make our community a better place. The JLGC is a nonprofit organization which was formed in 1959. We are women committed to promoting voluntarism and to improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.  Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

The Junior League of Gaston County is part of a larger organization, the Association of Junior League International, Inc. (AJLI).  The Association is comprised of more than 155,000 women in 292 Junior Leagues throughout Canada, Mexico, the UK and the US. Collectively, we constitute one of the largest, most effective volunteer organizations in the world.
